How high is the closet flange vs the height of the finished floor?
I have no idea what this even means. All I know is that the similar American Standard toiler (but much older) is installed there now. If you tell me how to measure such a distance I would appreciate it.

I assume I would need to remove the current toilet to see this?

Yes, remove the toilet. You can run to the store if you need a thicker ring, or you can buy two regular rings in advance, and stack if the ring is lower than floor level. Normally the closet flange ring top is higher than floor level.

When stacking rings, Terry liked to use a wax ring with a "horn" as the top of the stack.

Rocking makes wax rings fail. Place shims to prevent the toilet from rocking in a dry fit. Position the shims. Lift the toilet. Drop the wax. Drop the toilet onto the shims and floor.

I see now. I am not doing the work, our building's super will. Ideally, want to be prepared so that he doesn't have to return to finish the work. Should I buy 1 ring for now and if I need another one do that when he removes the toilet? What ring should I buy? There are many on Amazon.
