I’m trying to figure out what could possibly cause what appears to be a strange reaction inside a newer shower valve.
I have a Kohler valve that is about 1.5 years old. Got around to replacing the cartridge but the cause seems to be some build up around the valve that shifted the o rings.
Had a water report 2 weeks ago, only thing that pops out it may be related is water is slightly acidic with high CSMR, and there is copper in the water.
House is on well water running into a whole house filter, softener then iron/sulfur breaker.
