Hello,
Installing a 50 gal electric hybrid water heater in the garage - new install. It sits in the corner with a laundry sink to the left, washer to the right. We are stuck with the complexity of it all, wanting to conceal the pipes and vent. My first question is about tying the utility sink drain into the washer drain pipe, and the the placement and sizing for the vent. Does this look ok assuming proper slope? 2” vent or 1.5”?
In drawing this out it occurred to me that we’d make our life easier by building a deeper conceal wall than the current 3.5” studs.
Husband plans to take out the existing copper rough-in since it’s not sitting straight with the laundry box anyway- start fresh.
