Faucet and Head don't fit - adapter?

Hey guys, I have a shower faucet that measures 1 in diameter, and am trying to fit a standard 1/2 in shower head onto it. Anyone know of an adapter that can fit this?

No, inside. It's apparently something custom made. It fit a Kohler head before.

Is there an inside thread that you could put a 1/2 inch nipple into?

No, just an exterior thread.

It is probably an arm with an integral ball. If so, remove the arm and change it.

I suggest posting a photo that includes both ends of the shower arm. Replacing the shower arm may be an easy solution. Getting a new shower head to fit the existing arm may be possible.
