12v fan wiring

How would I wire these 12v fans in series.

With 12 volt fans and 12 volt battery, normally you would want the fans to be wired in parallel.

I presume these 12 volt fans take DC and the polarity matters.

Yes. Each fan has a red and black wire.

I doubt it. You are putting the two fans in series.

With black and white wires, I wonder if this is a DC fan or AC fan.

Would this work?

If the two fans are identical, they would divide the voltage equally and run at a much lower speed if they will run at all on 6V. Why do you want to run them in series rather than in parallel?
