Hello, I'm remodeling my kitchen and when I removed a corner lazy Susan cabinet, there is a waste drain pipe sticky out of wall that was behind the cabinet.. Has anyone seen this before? I thought at first it was a cleanout somehow buried behind a cabinet, but looking in the pipe opening it does not look like it. Inside looks like a plastic blank or something. The issue is with the new cabinets I do not have a Lazy Susan in the corner and the cabinets will go right against the wall, but this drain pip is sticking out about 5-6". I'm thinking to just cut the pipe close to the drywall, just before the blank inside the pipe. Thoughts?

Yep, test plug. I was able to unscrew it and saw the knock out wording on the blank pieces. Looks to be a whoops when house was built or they just forgot to put in the clean out cover/cap.

It is what happens when the cabinet installers showed up to install and just went ahead and covered it over. "My job is done". Get paid whether right or wrong.

It may be that that is a properly vented sanitary tee or similar, and that left a provision for putting the sink over in that corner.

So I guess the thought would be that you should put in a flush threaded plug since you are not going to use that.
