We wish to replace an existing American Standard wall hung toilet with a concealed cistern in our bathroom (that had the tank outside the wall). When we took down the drywall, we discovered that the main stack seems to be in the way. Is there a way for us to use a Deer Valley concealed cistern and wall-hung toilet (or Toto) for example: https://www.homedepot.com/pep/DEERV...nk-Seat-Included-White-DV-1F0069-CF/326518163? We would be willing to install a short wall in front of this one if we could get the drain to be correct.

If we can't do that, can we replace it with a https://www.plumbersstock.com/as-28...EWSJJs9idq-BJoUuM4rAZh88J1ZrvY4xoC4mYQAvD_BwE? Are the bolts spaced at the same distance and the same length?

Appreciate any help. Thanks!

1. Only use Geberit or Toto in-wall frame set ups.
You can't make what you have in-wall unless you break out the drain below floor and start over.

The glenwall vormax will fit the carrier and would probably be the easiest option for a replacement. Otherwise you would have someone coming in with a jackhammer to replumb that.

There can be issues with resetting on those old carriers, depending on the depth of the recess on the back of the new toilet.
Nice, modern four bolt wall carriers use a plastic horn threaded receiver to allow exactness in mounting any new WC. If you can't adjust that adapter on the existing carrier (often rusted in place), then we have various tricks that rely on luck and wax and or foam rubber gaskets, trial and error plus Murphy's law.

Hi...I have a similar situation with the same American Standard toilet. Can you tell me what you have learned since first posting in April? Are you able to convert to a concealed tank? Thank you!!

Is it wall hung. If so the easiest option is to replace it with a gerber Maxwell wall hung. To put an inwall tank in would be very difficult and expensive and would require you jackhammering your floors and replumbing much of the bathroom
