Case 3000 never stops running unless I take the top off the tank and pull up on the float ball. All the innards have been replaced in the past 3 years, have had the plumber out twice since the replacement but he has no clue!

Question - is there a way to adjust the float ball to come up higher on it's own? Or is there another adjustment that can be made to stop this toilet from running?

index.php

The water is going down the overflow and into the toilet.

When you say all of the parts were replaced, did that include the actual seal in the valve (the part the lever goes into)? That may include a washer but also the seat where it gets pressed. IF the seat is not flat and smooth, the washer won't be able to seal until it is significantly distorted from high pressure from the float.

Also, are you sure that the float doesn't have any water that may have leaked inside, making it less buoyant?

You should also check your home's water pressure to make sure that it is within industry guidelines. That means that it is no more than 80-psi. High pressure makes it outside of the design parameters of some design toilet fill valves.
