Under the kitchen sink we had to redo the plumbing because of a leak problem with the copper drain and someone using another medal strap to hold it. Anyway I've attached pictures on what my father-in-law has done to rework the plumbing. He's a very skilled man that builds houses etc. never claims to be a plumber, electrician etc. but he can do it all.
Under the sink you can see the old copper pipe horizontally and then in the basement picture the pipe vertically used to connect with that pipe and then up to the roof. Before he put the AAV and right after the rework the kitchen sink gurgles a lot while the clothes washer drains. Two weeks later he came back and added the AAV. Basically that didn't work because the sink is still very loud while we wash our clothes.
I thought we should have put the AAV where I put a red circle. Where should we put the AAV?
