To make floor height the same, we need 1/8 inch backer board for shower floor (the whole assembly is thinset over radiant warmboard like ply with pex tubing; then backer board 1/8, then Lataicrete Hydro waterproof crack isolation membrane, then thinset, then tiles.) The whole assembly needs to add up to 13/16 above the warmboard.
But what is the good quality backer board to use? The suppliers around me seems to stock 1/4 inch only so need to special order. What would you recommend? Trying to avoid 1/4 inch one to match existing floors without a bump.
