Wye+Long sweep 90

I am not a plumber and doing some reno on my house as a home owner.

I always see diagrams using Wye+45 when changing draining direction.

I have a 2” drain coming inside the joist bay (parallel to joists), this 2” run needs to drop into 3” drain that runs in a soffit (right angle to the joists)

Can i use the Wye+Long sweep 90 to make the transition. Or do i must to use the Wye+str45+90?

I think the long sweep makes a nice transition for water to flow in right direction.

Just need to make sure Wye+long sweep is ok and i will glue them together.

The first picture is OK. The 90 doesn't even have to be long sweep. A street 90 would let you get the wye higher if desired.

I have room in the joist bay. I can even add an inch of straight between the wye and long sweep if it helps more. But all I needed is that I can use a 90 elbow with wye for direction change. Thank you.

Going from horizontal to vertical can be medium 90.
Pipe at a 45 is also considered vertical.

I understand. If there is room I suppose it is best practice to use larger radius fittings for better performance of the system. And snaking the lines would be easier if it needed in the future.

I am a type of guy who tries to get the most out of things which makes me overthink things and projects takes longer.

I am going to post the finished pictures of the whole system once I am done and get your approvals.
