Hi all,

I am converting a single sink vanity into a double-sink vanity and am stuck on the venting and drainage. I cannot use the current drain as the new vanity has a vertical support bar that would be where the current drain is. As such, I'd like to make two drains, piped to be underneath each sink.

I've been looking through a few different threads on the subject, and have attached a drawing with the current setup and what I believe are my two options. I am leaning towards option 2, but don't know if perhaps option 1 would be preferred?

- Circles indicate where the piping would come out of the wall, and each would have a P-Trap under each sink
- Every tee would be a sanitary tee

Thank you in advance,

Matt

Yeah. I think which ever one leaves you room for your water lines and is the least amount of work while being efficient.

When converting to a double-sink vanity, it’s crucial to ensure proper venting and drainage to avoid issues. If option 2 seems more straightforward and fits your setup better, it’s likely a good choice. However, option 1 might be preferred if it offers a simpler and more direct route for water flow and venting, minimising the risk of clogs and ensuring efficient drainage. Consulting a plumber could give you a definitive answer based on your specific situation.
