Hi all,

I'm finally getting around to installing a Toto Aquia I toilet I bought used on FB Marketplace a few months ago, and I realized it didn't come with the plastic mounting blocks needed to secure the skirtless toilet to the ground. I managed to source them, but I'm having some problems installing them.

I'm quite certain I've screwed them into the correct position, as I followed the measurements in the installation guide quite closely. However, the holes in the toilet base don't line up with the blocks when I push the toilet onto the rough in module. When the toilet is pushed all the way up to the wall, there is a 1" gap between the hole in the toilet base (indicated by the blue dot in the photo) and the surface of the mounting block (the surface where the screw needs to make contact is between the two red lines).

I'm honestly stumped. The only thing I can think of is that the rough in I'm using is meant for 10" installations (my setup is 12"). Any other ideas as to what I might be running into? Any suggestions for workarounds/Macgyvering appreciated!

Hi there, yes I did. This is the stage I'm stumped on: "Once the bowl bottoms out on the hub its time to insert the finishing screws on either side of the bowl through the porcelain and into the mounting blocks."

The finishing screws don't make contact with the mounting blocks when I insert them through the porcelain - this is where I'm stumped. TIA for any suggestions!

I wonder if the adapter is too close to the wall, and the wall keeps the toilet connection to the adapter to not be fully seated.

What's the distance between the unifit center holes of the flange and the rear mounting holes?
