First off, I have not been here in a while and was saddened to hear about Terry's passing. This site has been a blessing and Terry was also so helpful. Please accept my deepest condolences.

My wife discovered water under her bathroom sink.
I discovered water dripping from the middle pipe when either (hot or cold) knob was turned on.
To investigate, I turned off the water supplies and discovered the cold water supply valve sprayed water between the off and on position.
So, I guess I will have to replace that valve as well.
With much confusion and a bit of struggle, I removed the Delta Quick Connect Hose Assembly.
I found this replacement on Amazon.

My question's:

1. I removed the Delta Quick Connect Hose Assembly pretty quickly and didn't think until later that the leak may have been from above that middle connection, somewhere up inside the faucet. Is it possible that the leak could be up in the main faucet piece and I will need a whole new assembly and the $40 I spend on the new connection hose will be wasted?

2. I've never done a water supply valve to pvc before. Is it simply hacksawing the old valve off, cleaning with sand paper, applying pvc adhesive and sticking the new one on?

I really appreciate any help or confidence you can offer me. Thanks!

I expect that is CPVC (light tan). There is more than one way, but I would consider SharkBite push-on.

Other alternatives are compression and glue-on.

So, I did misdiagnose where the leak was coming from. It is dripping from somewhere inside the pipe to the faucet, not the connection to the faucet. I've replaced cartridges in handles, but have no clue what is going on inside the faucet itself. Any help would be appreciated! ) BTW, I did use the SharkBite push-on. Easy as pie. Thanks!

Delta has a lifetime warranty on faucets and we recommend calling them. Fussing with parts is just not worth the effort.
