Hello all,

I have decided to use Polyethylene for propane gas, run underground in grass area before going up on the exterior wall and transitioning to Schedule 40 black Steel pipe and penetrate into building. I'm going up with an anodeless polyethylene riser to get above ground. How do you transition from the polyethylene riser to Sch 40 black steel pipe before penetrating the exterior wall? Trying to meet Florida Code.

Will an anode be required when going above ground?

You should have a certified installer who has been trained to install polyethylene gas.
UPC only allows black steel indoors, and requires glav. pipe outdoors. The anodeless riser is threaded.
Hire licensed plumber.
