We’ve just bought a 1959 brick ranch in VA. I wanted to install a 3-way splitter between the toilet supply pipe and the shutoff valve. The pipe looked like 3/8” so I purchased a splitter with a 3/8” FIP inlet. But it doesn’t fit. It appears the pipe is just SLIGHTLY larger than the FIP inlet. The photo shows the old shutoff valve inlet and the new 3/8” FIP. The old valve is labeled Sharkbite 1/4 turn. Anybody have a reasonable guess as to what size pipe I have here?
