Putting in shower pre-slope and when it was dry it was low on one side to the point of being almost level. If I add acrylic bonding agent to the drypack can I get away with raising it ½ an inch? Would I want to use more thinset between layers? Is there another option for raising one side a little bit or should I just dig it out?

Deck mud is cheap. I'd tear it out and start over.

Calculate how high it should be around the perimeter, draw a line, pack deck mud around the perimeter using a level and mallet to get it firm, straight and the height you want, then fill in between that and the drain using some screed sticks to get it flat and the proper slope after packing it down.
