Leaking Fitting on Water Well Poly Pipe

An elbow fitting on the poly pipe water line from my well to the manifold on the pressure tank developed a hairline crack and is leaking. I put some silicone over the crack and wrapped the whole thing in flex tape for now.

My questions are about replacing the fitting. First, it looks like the end in the poly pipe is barbed. Will I be able to pull it out? Assuming I can get it out, can I just replace the fitting or do I need to replace some length of the poly pipe itself?
