Hi,

We came home to a hissing sound in the wall. After we shut off the water we cut open the wall and right below the washer and dryer box and it looks like the PEX Barb to MIP that is split? I hope I’m explains this correctly

The install was done by a plumber about a year ago. Is it common for this to happen? I know we had another leak at original install around the clamps and that was fixed until today.

I’m going to hire another plumber but want to make sure it’s done right.

Thank You!

Looks like the lower part of the transition adapter on the right side of the pic split somehow and is spraying water upward to the left. Never saw that absent a freeze.
