New place we've just purchased in Tahoe (cold but not that
cold). Place was originally built by plumber, 100% ABS circa 1981.
in an effort to get W/D out of kitchen and electric water heater->tankless
out of hallway, I'm moving them to garage, where I'm building a small insulated
utility room. Main plumbing soil stack already passes through utility room.
I'm putting several sections of unistrut on the walls for gas and copper plumbing.
Question:
Can I run new ABS for W/D and laundry sink exposed on the strut, or does it
need to be in-wall (which I'd rather not dig into exterior wall for). can't go on
other wall because of doorway, and garage is a slab. vents can go straight up
without problem.
Or should I do it in Brass DWV (like we did for commercial location)
or hubless cast iron (which seems silly when rest of everything is ABS)
