I recently talked to a Delta representative showed him pictures of what my internal cartridge valve body looks like behind the wall and he recommended I need the rp47201 cartridge. My question is my rp47201 cartridge thermostatic cartridge that he says I need is not match up with the internal valve body looks! I have attached a couple pictures to show you what I mean where the cartridge does not match the back side of the valve body it goes into. The first picture is what the inside of the valve body that the cartridge slides into looks like. The second picture is what the underside of the new 47201 looks like! The 3rd picture is what the old cartridge I pulled out looks like and finally the 4th picture is the new rp47201 cartridge that Delta told me is the replacement cartridge for my shower dual handle valve! Here's the question I have... How is the new cartridge supposed to fit in that valve body (see 1st picture) when the 2 cylinder like nipples that protrude on the cartridge have no slots that match up on the valve body to slide into?? Look at my old valve I pulled out in picture 3. Looks nothing like the new 47201 valve! I need help on this please! It just doesn't match up!
