My father is on meds that are causing constipation and massive BMs. We have had plumbers out to his home multiple times over the past month to clear clogs and install new toilets that I thought would "save the day." The plumbers suggested we get "pressure-assisted toilets." I didn't realize there was a difference between vacuum-assisted and pressure-assisted toilets, and in my defense, when I googled "pressure-assisted toilets," the first toilet that appeared was Home Depot's Glacier Bay Power Flush (which turned out to be "vacuum-assisted"). The plumbers installed these Glacier Bay toilets and did not even seem to notice they were the wrong kind either. When we were still having issues with the BMs not going down, the plumbers came back and said that these Glacier Bay toilets were not the answer. Thankfully, Home Depot will take them back, but I obviously need to find new toilets. I have read on this forum that the Caroma toilets are great, but it looks like there would be a great deal of shipping costs to get them here to Florida. The plumbers are to put together a quote for me, but I wanted to do my own research to find out if there is a decent model out there from Home Depot or Lowe's that would suffice. https://www.lowes.com/pd/KOHLER-Hig...2-Piece-Toilet-12-in-Rough-In-Size/1000066035 is one I found - not sure if this is one that would be recommended? Thanks in advance for your help, as this issue has caused my dad great embarrassment and stress.
