Hi Folks,
I'm installing an Aprilaire whole home humidifier in a 3rd floor storage space (insulated, with door). I'm stuck on how best to install an air-gapped drain. The home's stack and a drain vent from adjacent bathroom are exposed, the vent line runs right under the humidifier. I'm wondering if I can put an above-floor p trap with drain and tie them into the vertical run of the drain vent (right edge of photo), or if there are any suggestions on how best to handle drainage from the humidifier. I'd rather not rip up the floor if I don't have to, but I realize that may be the only way to do it.
Many thanks!
(Please ignore the current state of electrical, I have a certified electrician doing the work, and I took the pictures mid job)
