Well pump pressure awitch and preasure tabk

Brand new well pump and pressure switch. Woke up today with a crack in one of h the e pipes. And the pump keeps turnimg on by itself all the time. I assume i have a leak. I fixed the broken pipes. And heard a loud boom later that night when I started doing laundry and went to check and all the piping i just fixed broke off and the s pump had some smoke coming out pf it. Now the pump is new and ao is the e pressure switch. My neighbor said the pressure tank needs to be replaced now also-could this he why the pump kept turning on continuously ?

If the pump comes on and runs when no taps are open, the check valve is bad or you have a leak. That was probably steam, not smoke. When a pump doesn't shut off at the correct pressure it makes steam until something melts or blows.
