Mildew smell in our master bath. Thought it was bath mats. It's not. Husband thought it was coming from outside the walk-in shower, possibly moisture under the LVP (maybe a leak from the shower); smell is far stronger from the weep hole directly on the other side, inside the shower. There's another weep hole on the other side of the shower that doesn't smell at all. We recently resealed a corner of the shower (same side as the weep hole in question) with waterproof caulking as it was beginning to crack; the timing of that and the mildew smell seems to be aligned (maybe?), but we can't quite remember. We were out of town for several weeks over holidays, and came home to no smell; then used the shower for a few days and it was back. No apparent water damage to LVP nearby or the ceiling downstairs in kitchen underneath. What can we try to evaluate this before we get crazy and start taking things apart?
