Another control box dead now, another 100 dallors down the drain. I stripped the wires and removed the old corroded wires. Fixed it for another week or 2. Now it went out again. I'm assuming a wire is shorting this box or pressure switch is ruining it. Tomarrow I will be pulling pump and checking wire. If needed I will replace all the wire pressure switch control box. If it goes out again I will replace the pump it self. I'm going scorched earth with this issue that has plagued me for the last 3 months. There was water in the well covered the preassure switch and control box. I'm guessing because it could and so it's from that, I'm unsure. I can not afford a professional to come out, I can't afford the repairs that may be needed either. I'm stuck between eating and bills or running water. Any help would be nice.

Your posts are not as readable as you hope.

It is usually best to reply on the same thread so people don't have to go seek out earlier threads and expect to find a description of your well and pump.

I can only imagine what you are trying to say with that.

Why is there moisture in the pump starter box should be dry. Same with the pressure switch. Are the starter and pressure switch in a outside enclosure? Is the well head inn the same enclosure and sealed? Chattering pressure switch will eat contacts in short order. Ex tank pressure 2# lower than start pressure and no water in the air when checked?

It all goes into a well with a cap. It's a hole in the ground. Pressure tank will be checked today when I get off of work to ensure it's fine

Yeah, I am not understanding either. But most pump, control box, or pressure tank failures are caused by the pump cycling on and off too much. The best way to prevent it from happening again is to figure out what caused the first one to fail.
