Am I overthinking this new drain connection? I want to do this:

- install new kitchen (single drain) sink (see “E” in photo)
- tap into existing 2” stack from 2nd level at first level
- Dishwashwer will drain into this sink

Current conditions are as follows:

- Existing stack serves utility sink and laundry + one shower (NO toilet attached to this drain)
- see photos (part of the system is wet vented on the way down)
- connection currently has one dry vent out of the roof but is joined in the crawl space where the toilet line goes out to the 3” main

*also included diagram that attempts to describe what I believe the systems looks like in green

Also, the kitchen sink, the shower, and the utility sink each require a dry vent.

Is an AAV doable for the sink?
Washington State uses the UPC, which does not permit AAVs, but some states have amended or interpreted it to allow AAVs at least somewhat. So you'll need to find a state-specific answer, I don't know for WA state.
