Our kitchen plumbing stack comes up through the floor and into a cabinet. Above the kitchen sink drain, it angles through two 45 elbows into the wall and continues up through the attic and roof.

In preparation for new cabinets, I want to move the stack into the wall but I can't do that from the basement because of the floor joists. I think there will be enough room under the new cabinet to allow me to make the transition at the floor level as in my second picture. Is any of this improper?

Also, the sink inlet is 16" above the floor now and I'd like to lower it a few inches to accommodate a deeper sink. Is there any minimum height I need to account for?
