Hi all,
Kitchen sink cabinet 4.png

I’m replacing my kitchen countertop and sink in a condo (2-story building, I live in the lower unit). I’m currently using a top-mount, double-basin sink with 6" depth, and I’m looking to switch to a single-basin, 9" deep undermount sink.

Photos are attached showing the current plumbing layout, the existing sink, and all key measurements. The wall drain outlet is 8 3/8" from the cabinet floor, the bottom of the P-trap sits at 10 1/2", and the disposal (InSinkErator Badger 1-87A) is about 12 5/8" tall. The vertical clearance under the disposal is roughly 14".

My goal is to install the new sink without modifying the cabinet bottom and without relocating or lowering the existing drain outlet. I also plan to keep using a garbage disposal.

My main question is whether a standard center-drain 9" undermount sink will work with my setup, or if a rear-set (rear-offset) drain sink is necessary to maintain proper drainage given the tight vertical space and fixed drain outlet height.

Thanks in advance for your help
