I am having problem putting a LG cooktop on my countertop. The verticle clearance from the surface cooktop to the oven is only 5 3/8 inches. The cooktop is about 4 1/4 inches thick, but after the installer connected the appliance to the regulator with a 90 degree elbow, the total thickness with the regulator is about 6 inches, larger than the 5 3/8 inches clearance. Is it possible to use a pipe to install the regulator further away from the appliance so the clearance wouldn't be a problem? Thank you.
