How do I get my shower drain to fit 1 1/2 drain pipe?

My drain pipe is 1 1/2 in. I’m replacing the old shower drain but the new one is 2 5/8. What would I need to make it fit the drain?

Showers require 2" drain.

The new upc let's the shower drain be 1.5" if it's replacing a tub. You need a bushing to go from 2"at the drain to 1.5 at the trap.

The drain in the shower? No the drain pipe? No. You need to adjust your current pipeat the trap from 1.5 to 2 and then hook it up to the new shower drain.
