@Reach4 ?
I have a fleck 5810SXT + a 48k grains resin tank. Water hardness is 24Gpg. BFLC is .25 GPM
Thanks in advance!
On a side note; I must have gotten a defective piston..after only 3 years of service, it snapped clean in half.

Your dealer will probably say that is a maintenance item.

System info (not programmed)

salt lb/cuft : 7.5 ; A choice ( efficiency vs capacity)
BLFC : 0.25 ; Brine Refill rate GPM
cubic ft resin : 1.5 ; Same as (nominal grains/32,000)
Raw hardness : 24 ; including iron etc
Estimated gal/day ; 120 ; 60 gal per person prediction (auto-tunes)
Est days/regen ; 10.67 ; presuming days each use estimated

Fleck 5810SXT Settings:
DF = Gal ; Units
VT = 5810 ; Valve type
RF = dF2b ; Downflow, Double Backwash
CT = Fd ; Meter Delayed regen trigger
C = 35 ; capacity in 1000 grains
H = 27 ; Hardness grains after comp factor
RS = cr ; Cr = base reserve on recent experience
DO = 30 ; Day Override (typ 30 if no iron/Mn)
RT = 2:00 ; Regen time (default 2 AM)
B1 = 5 ; Backwash 1 (minutes) [3...10]
Bd = 60 ; Brine draw minutes
B2 = 4 ; Backwash 2 (minutes)[3...10]
RR = 6 ; Rapid Rinse minutes
BF = 15 ; Brine fill minutes
FM = t1.2 (usual) ; t1.2 is default flow meter
RE = OFF ; Relay
VR = OFF ; ?

The less salt per cubic ft, the more salt efficient, but more hardness breakthrough.
Revised based on number from https://terrylove.com/forums/index.php?threads/help-for-programming-fleck-5810.82673/#post-595983
BLFC = 0.25
cubic ft resin = 1.5

Alternative C and BF pairs:
lb/cuft ; C= ; BF=
5.000 ; 28.7 ; 10
5.500 ; 30.2 ; 11
6.000 ; 31.5 ; 12 # a bit leaner, good choice
6.500 ; 32.8 ; 13 # good choice
7.000 ; 33.9 ; 14# good choice
7.500 ; 35.0 ; 15 # used in above listing
8.000 ; 36.0 ; 16# good popular choice

I sincerely hope they don’t try to pull that sh1t.
On my original purchase paperwork it says “5 year warranty on Fleck 5810SXT”
So I mean...any more than $70 if they wanna charge..I’ll just buy the parts myself! (Hell I already had it apart alresdy!)
EDIT:
This may be a dumb question..but where is the best/quickest place to get a new piston kit?
I looked on Amazon and didn’t see anything for the 5810..
