I have an older fleck 5600 12 day cycle softener. It has stop auto regening. I can run a manual regen and it is fine. The time of day is correct on the unit as well so I have ruled out the timer unit. Any ideas? Thanks in advanced.

The valve is mechanical, when the clock passes 2:00 A.M. a triger arm advances the 12 day wheel by a day. If a pin is out, it pushes the main gear off the idler slot, the timer then runs the valve through a cycle, inspect that area.. push the red button, turn the large outer gear to advance the skipper and see if it pushes the main knob slightly when it hits the skipper.
