Hi

Happy thanksgiving everyone!

I just got a new washing machine and the man who installed it said I need to replace the washing machine valve before the new installation, as the old valve is rust. So, I bought a similar valve from HomeDepot. It seems that this valve (1/2'') has larger diameter.

So, I'm looking for a 3/8'' or 1/4'' inch valve. But no luck to find this online, does anyone know which part should I buy?

These are what my old valves look like.

This is the comparison of old and new one(larger one is new):

I'm not a plumber. It looks like your old valves were compression fit type. When you removed the old valve did the nut stay on the pipe? Your new valve would require a male pipe fitting soldered on the pipe.
