Greetings,
we're remodeling a bathroom and need to move a toilet about 7 inches away from a wall in order to maintain our 15" side clearance (we're moving a wall in an adjacent bathroom to make room for a jetted bathtub). The plumbing is all exposed in our basement so everything is easy to get to but the DWV system is copper pipe, even the toilet connections. I'm a pretty handy guy but I don't know if I should be tackling this myself. I've done farm plumbing for hot/cold water supply but nothing where I'd try sweating a 4" copper pipe. Can I just adapt PVC to copper and redo the toilet flange that way or should I hire a professional for this one?
Thanks for your advice,
Mathew Pierce
