Guys any chance I can get your coaching on my programing of my water softener?

I am on a private well
Water hardness is 10 GPG
Iron is 1.0 PPM
I have a resin tank with 2.0 cu.ft. of 8% cross linked resin
The tank has a Fleck 7000 SXT valve
BLFC = .125 GPM

Programed as follows

Standard Valve Type - DF2b
Control Type - Fd
Unit Capacity - 48,000 grain
Feed Water Hardness - 15 GPG = (base of 10 +5 for 1ppm of iron)
Reserve Selection - SF
Safety Factor- 10
Day Override - 14
Regen - 2:00AM

Regen Cycles
B1 - 10 mins
BD- 60 mins
B2 - 6 mins
RR- 10mins
BF-20 mins

Flow meter type - t1.2

Your input is greatly appreciated, Thank You in advance!

BF= 8*2cuft/3/0.125 = 42.667 minutes

Round to 43 minutes for 8 pounds of salt per cubic ft and C=48,000 as I see it.

I don't know if SF or other numbers are right. SF depends on water useage pattern.

You may want to shorten up DO (day override) because you are using the softener to treat that 1 PPM of iron. I don't know if there is a rule of thumb about how to set DO in the face of 1 PPM of iron. Maybe 8 days seems to be what I have seen suggested.
