    To add another potential problem to your plan, you cannot trench parallel to and within 45 degrees of the bottom of the footing. This is to make sure you do not cause the footing to fail. Plan accordingly.

    I would run the new main line at least 4' in from the footing, assuming the trench will not exceed 2' deep.

    I don't think i'll get closer or deep enough to have to worry about the footings.

    Bought all the PVC parts today, have to hope they'll line up in the trench where i need them to go...the shower drain is clearly the hardest...
