I have a 1/2 hp Wayne shallow-well jet pump and the galvinized pressure tank was leaking. I installed a new tank with a bladder in it with a flotec tee. I installed a pressure gauge and valve on the tee and plugged the other two orifices. I connected the water line from the pressure switch to the front of the jet pump. Switch is 30/50 and I set the pressure tank to 28 psi.
I am now getting alot of air in my water lines. Constant spitting and almost no pressure if a toilet is flushed while using another faucet. Water pressure is sporatic and lower than with the galvanized tank. Getting ocassional higher pitched whiney noise when hot water is running in the second floor bathroom tub. My question is: Should I have connected the line from the switch to the tee instead of the front of jet pump? The pump really seems to thump when it kicks off. Any other advice would be welcome.
Thanks,
Tom
