Plastic Tube plumbing

Hi,

I have plumbing going into my house and it's PVC and more flexible red and blue pipe for the hot and cold water. My question is, do the red and blue pipes
need to be insulated or is it worth while to put insulation around the flexible pipe?

Any supply line exposed to freezing temperatures needs to be insulated and heated. Other than that, insulation can stop/reduce condensation and/or keep cold lines relatively cold and hot lines relatively hot.

That is PEX tuning and it will not allow temperature transfer anywhere near as well as copper does. usually water lines are not insulated unless they may freeze. PEX is very forgiving if it is frozen. But fittings are not and will break.
