Do not use all purpose, only use PVC cement. Inside a home, regular is fine, underground use medium or heavy duty. Since the ground can heave during winter months.

When using purple primer, do not overload it. Too much primer the cement may not be in contact with the PVC to create a molecular bond.

I see there are a few different options:
- "All purpose"
- "Regular"
- "Medium"
- "Heavy Duty"

Thanks.
My go-to that I use pretty much everywhere. Oatey Purple Primer; Oatey Heavy Duty (green label).
