Remove to get at the leaking thermostatic valve

Hi,
I have a Grohe thermostatic valve which is leaking and can not figure out how to take this piece off to get at the valve. I hate to damage the piece by doing it the wrong way. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Look at this pdf. Your photo is not that clear. If this is not the right one can you post some profile and trim photos to determine the series?
