First, wonderful forum. All my questions for getting this far with my well problems had answers in other posts. The backstory: We have gotten alot of rain hear in Michigan and my well pit flooded burning up the pump. Was hoping that replacing the cap on the motor would fix it, but winding must have shorted. Replace pump with identical ( Gould SV10). Would not build pressure or pump water. Pulled ejector (2" well at 94 ft, that was fun) Found hole in suction line.

My question is, The replacement ejector is not the same (shorter), but rated for same depth. The suction line was 1" galvanized. The new ejector can handle both a 1 1/4 and 1 inch, but the venturi is real tight in the 1". Should I use 6"-1 1/4" then a reducer or go directly to 1" off the ejector. Would prefer not to use 1 1/4 for the whole suction because of cost and weight if I have to pull it again. And also the head adapeter is already set up for 1" suction.
