Hi guys!
I'm currently in the process of remodeling a house, and I've finally gotten around to the bathroom. I had planned on installing a Toto Entrada and just letting it go at that. But now that I've removed the old toilet, the roughin appears to be 14". Well actually, it's more like 13 1/2". Were this bathroom of any appreciable size, I'd not pay this much mind, but it's a pretty small space and I'd like to get the toilet out of the way as much as possible. So, to this end, I've decided to go with the Toto Vespin II, and use the Toto UniFit 14" adapter.
So, my questions are,
Will that 1/2" difference between the 14" and my actual 13 1/2" affect the toilet's ability to fit in place correctly against the wall? Or can I just I move the UniFit adapter out to exactly 14" on the closet flange when I mount it to the floor? I only ask this because I figure if it's supposed to go up against the wall, I may not have much wiggle room. And finally, the water shutoff valve is 5 1/2" off center. Will I likely need to get one of those "side mount" (not sure exactly what they're called) valves?
Thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions!
