We had our well drilled deeper and now have clay in the water. We have run it for about a week and it's gotten a little better but still ranges from a darkish gray to a lighter gray, but no were near transparent when you fill a glass. See the image below.
Our well driller is very confident that an ultra filter will turn this into clear water. We have not started to run water into the house yet. While I would be interested in anyones experience with a similar situation, I am really wondering about the pre-treatment options.
We currently have a sediment cartridge filter usually loaded with a coarse cord filter, followed by a green sand filter with chlorine injection (for sulfur) and finally a softener. The plan is to add the Ultra filter after the softener. Does anyone have any experience with a setup like this?
