Odd valve

Anyone know what tool I need for this valve

We need more info to determine what that is. What was on the exterior? What application is it for?

Sort of looks like a bulkhead fitting I would see to mount a threaded stub to a wall. Similar to mounting faucets to stainless sinks.. But just that one photo doesn't tell the whole story.

Sorry it's a shower knob valve, got a leak and have fixed a few in the past, but none looked like this

Is this a 2 or 3 handle shower valve? It looks like that handle only travels a quarter turn. What does the handle trim look like?

It's 2 handle, I'll have to add a pic, just wanna get the leak fixed but don't know how to get to the seal

Most 2 handle shower valves would have a nut that you would need to remove to get to the cartridge or stem. They require a specialized barrel type wrench to remove.

is there a key or something to turn this one?? On the other ones I've done the whole piece has a hex shape so it can be turned to remove but this I have no clue

There should be a nut in the wall that you would turn with a socket wrench to remove the cartridge/stem
