Last year (2022) I hired a company to replace my old 2009 Rinnai tankless water heater with a new one. I found out recently during a maintenance visit that a Rinnai manufactured in 2017 was installed as the "new" water heater. I feel like I got scammed since a got a water heater that was manufactured 5 years before the installation. Is this acceptable practice?
