Installing new faucet, connection question

Installing a new sink/faucet from Ikea. Current pipe is 1 1/2 to 1 1/4 reducer, Ikea is 1 1/2, what's the best way to go about connecting this ? Thanks.

Cut off what you have and use a tubular p-trap.

You also might a slip joint exstension tube.
