I’m trying to think about the best way to attach a 8’ piece of 6” well screen to the bottom of a rocky riverbed. It will lay flat. I’m thinking of a bag of concrete at each end with some type of U bolt where the threaded part extends above the PVC and I could clamp a bar across it to push down on the pipe but really open to some other ideas.

Put it in at a 45 with the upper end out of the water so you can pull the pump out when needed. The bottom end can be fitted with a heavy axil and a couple of solid wheels so it can be rolled into the water and be heavy enough to stay put. Then just anchor the upper end to the bank somehow.

Hey, wait a minute.

This is awkward, but...
