What's the best way to remove this plastic laundry tub from the pvc drainpipe?

I'm getting a new countertop, SS sink & a new faucet. I'm afraid to cut it off as it might make things more difficult in attaching the new sink when I get it. If that is the best way where is the best spot to cut it? Would a heat gun help to loosen the glue so I can unscrew it from the tub?

Suggestions would be much appreciated!!

I would cut everything out above the trap and leave 2" or more above the trap to add new fittings as required
