Hello everyone, new here and looking for clarification.

We had company drill our well, install pump and provide control box.
The pump in question is 3/4hp 3-wire Grundfos and the box is FlowWise rated at 1/2HP with S.F. Max AMP 6.0
From my search, i see that one can use a higher rated control box with lower rated pump, but not the other way around, is this correct?
I ask here, because i am unable to reach the company, but in the event i do, i need a confirmation that they provided me with incorrect control box.
Funny thing, invoice says 3/4 Q.D. control box, but that is not the case.

Please advise

Thanks!

The size of the start capacitor for a 1/2 and a 3/4HP maybe the same. Not much difference if not the same. I could look it up but I am lazy today. Lol! Won't hurt to run a 1/2HP on a 3/4HP box. Just don't want a start capacitor oversized by very much.
